In the mid 1960s everything started with a simple idea – Wolfgang Ziegler wanted to become a musician.

The result was – the Beat Quartet, the Baltics, the group WIR – in between were 25 years and a life in the fast lane.

But countless concerts, No. 1 hits, TV, radio productions at home and abroad had left their mark. At some point, the “we” feeling came to an end.
The frontman who had given the band’s an unmistakable vocal profile for decades, Wolfgang Ziegler became the solo artist.

A new idea, a new path, a new goal. Sometimes life offers unbelievable surprises.
A short time later, Wolfgang Ziegler composed a hit that sold 1.5 million copies. “Verdammt und dann stehst Du im Regen”, this song shaped his life.
Known only in the GDR in the 80s, “Verdammt” has become a hit throughout Germany to this day.

Whether in the Kessel Buntes with Carmen Nebel, the Jose Carreras Gala, the ZDF Hit Parade or in the ZDF – Fernsehgarten, Wolfgang Ziegler has left his mark.

Wolfgnag belonged and still belongs to the first row of German-speaking singers.
14 published LP/CDs and over 50 singles show his popularity with his loyal fans.
He has kept his positive life motto “Giving up is never an option” through all the ups and downs of his long music career.
